At the last Electric Forest on-sale, the Back 40 log cabins were gone 15 minutes after the 10-year loyalty tier opened. Back 40 RVs lasted 20 minutes into the 9-year tier. Good Life pre-set RVs sold out on Thursday morning, more than an hour before the 4-year tier was even allowed in. Basic GA passes were still for sale days after the week ended.

I pulled those timestamps together in June 2026. The lesson: build the camp around whoever in your group has the most loyalty years, and decide where everyone sleeps before your own window opens.

## Wristbands are easy, beds are not

Electric Forest sells passes down a loyalty ladder over one week, all times Eastern. The 10-year tier ("10 in the Forest") goes first, on Tuesday at noon. On Wednesday, 9 through 5 open an hour apart, from noon to 4 PM. Thursday is the 4-year tier at noon, Good Life loyalty at 2 PM and GA loyalty at 4 PM. General on-sale is Friday at noon. Each presale window stays open until 11 AM the next day.

Camping and lodging are sold separately, and that is where the clock matters: RV passes, pre-set RVs and the Back 40 cabins. I come from the event industry, and this is the same pattern as a hotel block: the people who book early get the rooms, and everyone else gets a ticket and a long drive.

## The ladder, with timestamps

Every on-sale week, someone in the Electric Forest community posts a play-by-play: a running log of when each item sold out. My notes use the one for the 2026 festival, which sold in December 2025.

![Chart of the Electric Forest on-sale for the 2026 festival, December 2025. Columns are the loyalty windows from 10 in the Forest on Tuesday down to general on-sale on Friday. Each row is a lodging item, with a dot where it sold out: Back 40 log cabins and homes Tuesday 12:15 PM in the 10-year window; Back 40 RVs Wednesday 12:20 PM in the 9-year window; Back 40 Enchanted Experience Wednesday 3:50 PM in the 6-year window; Back 40 camping Wednesday 4:21 PM and GA Lucky Lake pre-set RVs 4:44 PM in the 5-year window; Good Life pre-set RVs Thursday 10:45 AM, still in the 5-year window before the 4-year tier opened; Good Life powered RVs Thursday 12:15 PM in the 4-year window; Good Life A/C Landing 3:20 PM and GA powered RVs 3:45 PM in the Good Life loyalty window; Good Life Village car camping Friday 12:27 PM and Good Life bungalows 12:40 PM in general on-sale. GA passes, car camping and pre-set tents run off the end of the chart, still available after the week.](https://willcurran.com/hs-fs/hubfs/will-curran-brand/electric-forest-tier-sell-out-times-tier-ladder.png?width=1440&height=1270&name=electric-forest-tier-sell-out-times-tier-ladder.png)

From that play-by-play, in the order things disappeared:

- **Back 40 log cabins and homes:** Tuesday 12:15 PM, 15 minutes into the 10-year tier.
- **Back 40 RVs:** Wednesday 12:20 PM, 20 minutes into the 9-year tier.
- **Back 40 Enchanted Experience:** Wednesday 3:50 PM, in the 6-year window.
- **Back 40 camping:** Wednesday 4:21 PM, 21 minutes into the 5-year tier. That finished off all of Back 40.
- **GA Lucky Lake pre-set RVs:** Wednesday 4:44 PM, also in the 5-year window.
- **Good Life pre-set RVs:** Thursday 10:45 AM, before the 4-year tier opened at noon.
- **Good Life powered RVs:** Thursday 12:15 PM, 15 minutes into the 4-year tier.
- **Good Life A/C Landing:** Thursday 3:20 PM, in the Good Life loyalty window.
- **GA powered RVs:** Thursday 3:45 PM, before GA loyalty even opened.
- **Good Life Village car camping:** Friday 12:27 PM, 27 minutes into general on-sale.
- **Good Life bungalows:** Friday 12:40 PM.
- **GA passes, GA car camping, GA pre-set tents:** still available after the week was over.

The year before looked the same, or worse at the top. In the on-sale for the 2025 festival, Back 40 cabins were listed as unavailable for purchase at the 10-year tier, and Back 40 RVs sold out on the day the 8-year tier opened. Basic GA was still on sale into mid-January.

## Cabins look like renewals

The best reading I have is that most of the cabin inventory goes back to people who held a cabin the previous year, and only a few units ever reach the open 10-year window. I couldn't find a published Electric Forest policy that says so, so treat that as a pattern, not a rule.

## Plan around your highest tier

Electric Forest lets one loyalty account buy up to 2 packages or up to 4 admission passes. So for a group, the useful question is the highest tier anyone in the group has, and what that person can buy before it's gone.

- A 10-year account is the only one with any shot at a cabin at the on-sale.
- A 9-year account can land Back 40 RVs, if that person is in the waiting room and buying in the first 20 minutes.
- A 5- or 6-year account on Wednesday is what it takes for pre-set RVs.
- Thursday tiers are for powered RVs at the very top of the window, and for the Good Life items that last longer.
- GA wristbands and GA car camping can wait.

Work down that list, decide who buys what, and the camp layout follows from it.

## If you are about to try this

- **Decide accommodation before your window opens.** By the time a lower tier is in, the choice has already been made by the tiers above.
- **Know everyone's loyalty years now, not on sale day.** The person with the most years is the one who buys the scarce item.
- **Be in the waiting room when it opens.** It opens an hour early. The scarce items went in 15 to 20 minutes.
- **Sign in to the account your loyalty is tied to before checkout.** Commenters on the play-by-play also warn against hitting Back during checkout, because it can lock the account for hours.
- **Don't build on a cabin.** Book something else as well.

## Build it yourself

What it does: turns a festival's on-sale history into a buying plan for your group. The parts:

- **The official presale ladder**: which tier opens when, how long each stays open, and the per-account purchase limit.
- **Last year's sell-out log**: a community play-by-play, or your own notes from the week. Two years is better than one.
- **A list of your group**: each person's loyalty tier and what they want to sleep in.

How the pieces fit: put each sell-out time against the window it happened in, then match each scarce item to the lowest tier that still reaches it. Anyone at or above that tier is a buyer.

Give this to your AIHelp me plan festival lodging for a group using last year's sell-out data. I will paste three things: the festival's official presale schedule (tier names, open times, how long each tier stays open, and the per-account limit on passes and packages), a sell-out log from the last one or two on-sales with a timestamp for each item, and my group's list of people with their loyalty tier and what kind of lodging each wants. First, place every sell-out time inside the presale window it happened in, and tell me how many minutes in. Flag any item that sold out before a later tier opened. Then, for each lodging item my group wants, find the lowest tier that could still buy it, and tell me which person in my group should buy it given the purchase limits. Mark anything no one in the group can reach as a waitlist or resale long shot. Don't assume this year will match last year; tell me where the two years disagree.

If you have your own timestamps from an Electric Forest on-sale, or a different festival with a loyalty ladder, I would like to see them.
